Linton Harper
Social Worker, Practice Educator
Linton Harper is a qualified social worker and practice educator. He is also a Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEX) member – advanced paralegal as well as non-practising barrister. He has over 11 years’ experience of working with children, young people and their families and has worked in various social care settings including youth justice and children’s social care. He is currently employed in a London borough in a frontline child protection service. He has supported the learning and development of student social workers in child protection team. As part of the Collective Space team, Linton is a graduate of our foundation level training course. He was awarded Collective Space’s annual scholarship which supported him to undertake his intermediate individual and family systemic psychotherapy post-graduate training. He now offers student representation and feedback on Collective Space’s academic learning programmes and sits on the exam board for our accredited courses. Linton has a special interest in linking systemic ideas to social work practice and plans to complete the next level of training to qualify as Family Systemic Psychotherapist.
Linton wrote to Liz on receiving his award and said the following;
I am happy to be a student representative on the exam boards and consider this an honour to be asked. I want to thank you and the tutors at Collective Space that have helped to encourage learning and supporting talent and recognising the learning needs and diversity needs of some students. The tutor group helped us to flourish so a very big thank you to Maria as well.
