Sharon Queen
Social worker, family therapist and trainer
Sharon is qualified as both a social worker and as a family and systemic psychotherapist. She has worked with children and families for the past 17 years in various roles which have included frontline social work and family support. She has managed a team of family support workers and is involved in delivering and supervising clinical interventions in that part of the service.
Sharon currently holds the role of lead family therapist for care experienced children in a role which bridges CAMHS and the Local Authority looked after teams. This role includes undertaking CAMHS assessments for children and direct interventions to children, young people and families. She provides consultation to social workers, foster carers and residential placements. Sharon is currently undertaking her training in EMDR. Families appreciate her honest, straightforward and yet compassionate approach in the work she does with them.
